Ginger Sigmon, PhD
Dr. Sigmon works with the faculty at the Nicholas of School of the Environment (NSOE) to develop future research activities and proposal development. Together with the Office of External Partnerships, we explore opportunities to partner with other universities, industry, and foundations with NSOE faculty.
Prior to joining Duke, Ginger was at the University of Notre Dame as the Managing Director of the Center for Sustainable Energy at Notre Dame (ND Energy), a university research center focused on energy research, education, and outreach.
Ginger received her PhD in nuclear materials from the University of Notre Dame where her research focused on crystallography of uranium, neptunium, and plutonium materials. She also holds Bachelor of Science degrees in chemistry and geology from North Carolina State University.
