Duke University School of Nursing Launches Initiative to Empower Nurses with AI Training

Duke University School of Nursing is launching a new continuing nursing education (CNE) program to empower nurses with the knowledge and skills to use artificial intelligence responsibly in clinical care. With support from Johnson & Johnson, the program will provide registered nurses, advanced practice nurses, and nurse administrators with practical training on AI applications, ethical considerations, and strategies to identify and reduce bias in AI-driven healthcare tools.

Designed in collaboration with nursing leaders and interdisciplinary experts, the program will help ensure that nurses—who represent the largest segment of the healthcare workforce—are prepared to lead as AI transforms healthcare delivery.
